This page is devoted to the many 'mobs', or creatures in MineCraft. Below, you can find info on all the different mobs.
Chicken - Commonly confused with a duck, because the skin of the chicken looks like a duck, this mob is friendly and very easy to kill. It has very little health and in commonly found in the normal world. It spawns on grass/dirt and usually drops feathers when killed. This mob is friendly and will not attack you, even when attacked. This mob spawns in light areas.
Cow - A friendly mob that spawns on grass/dirt in light areas. It will not attack the player, even when attacked, and sometimes drops leather, used to create armour, on death. You can also milk the cow with an empty bucket. It has more health than the chicken, but little health still.
Sheep - A friendly mob that spawns on grass/dirt in light areas. It will not attack you, and drops 1 wool block on death. You can use shears on the sheep to get more wool and not damage the sheep. It has little health.
Pig - A friendly mob that spawns on grass/dirt in light areas. It will not attack you, and drops 0, 1, or 2 pieces of uncooked pork chop on death. If the pig is killed by burning, it will drop cooked pork chop. If a pig is struck by lightning, it will transform into a zombie pigman. Uncoiled pork chops can be cooked in a furnace.
Wolf/Dog - A passive/Tameable mob that spawns on dirt/ grass in light areas. By feeding the wolf a small amount of bones collected from dead skeletons, you can tame a wolf, making it follow you unless you right click it, telling it to stay. You can recognise tamed wolves by the red collars around their necks. Tamed wolves will attack hostile mobs, and will defend you against everything except creepers. Wolves do take damage, and can be healed with pork chops. When wild wolves are attacked, their eyes will glow red, and they will attack you. They have a great amount of health.
